Creative Information Technology, Inc. (CITI), a leading provider of management consulting and IT services to government and private industry, announced today that the Department of the Navy has awarded CITI one of its coveted SeaPort-e IT contracts.

ARLINGTON, Virginia, June 14, 2006 (PRNewswire) – Creative Information Technology, Inc. (CITI), a leading provider of management consulting and IT services to government and private industry, announced today that the Department of the Navy has awarded CITI one of its coveted SeaPort-e IT contracts. Services CITI offers under SeaPort-e include system engineering, system design, software development, network support, information assurance, and related areas.

“This is a major milestone for us” said Sunil Kolhekar, CITI CEO. “We have served civilian agencies such as State, HUD, Commerce, Transportation, and EPA since opening our doors ten years ago, and have now added Defense. We look forward to serving the Navy with distinction and working to broaden our scope to include other DoD departments and agencies as well.”

The NAVSEA Warfare Centers established the SeaPort-e contract vehicle, using a web-based, e-business procurement portal, to facilitate performance-based service acquisition, leverage buying power, improve business intelligence, and reduce cycle time. Other Navy activities using this contract vehicle include the Military Sealift Command, Strategic Systems Programs, Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Naval Facilities Command, and the U.S. Marine Corps. Under SeaPort-e, vendors such as CITI can also offer limited support to DoD agencies outside the Navy Department.
