manageID debut at international conference caps series of milestones for the team

CITI announced today that one of its flagship products, the manageID™ suite, will be featured at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Ninth Symposium and Exhibition, being held October 22-24, in Montreal, Canada.  This yearly event targets the latest in international travel technology from around the world, and this year its trio of themes—Machine Readable Travel Documents (MRTDs), biometrics, and border security—includes an emphasis on Automated Border Control (ABC) Systems. CITI (along with its partners Alutiiq and KIS) will be presenting the ABC solution—powered by manageID—that was configured for the government of Mexico.

This customer is soon to be deploying several CITI-developed ICAM solutions. The manageID team is installing state-of-the-art biometric capture and verification equipment, running manageID, for Mexico’s Southern Border Initiative. And, the manageID-powered Global Entry Mexico (GEM) solution (14 kiosks to be deployed at 3 international airports) will soon enable U.S. Citizens (enrolled in Global Entry USA) and Mexican Citizens (who frequently travel in and out of Mexico) to take advantage of the same benefits—while entering Mexico—that Global Entry USA provides to enrolled members entering the U.S.

Leading up to this new opportunity—at the ICAO Symposium—to increase manageID’s name recognition, this CITI team has scored a number of other successes worthy of note:

Theatre Access Control and Threat Identification (TACTIC) – for NATO: (since 2012) TACTIC will leverage manageID and complementary professional services to ensure that key in-theatre mission-critical requirements are met. These include theatre-standardized enrollment systems and processes; theatre-standardized member badges; a common badge management database; and improved access control capabilities. The common NATO-issued badge will reduce the number of different badges currently in use and establish a clear status for a member throughout theatre. Using a more secure badge and an electronic badge verification capability will reduce the risk of individuals gaining unauthorized access to NATO installations and secure areas.

Procuraduria General de la Republica de Mexico – for prime contractor Quarksoft: (2012-2013) CITI, as a software and services technology provider to Quarksoft, implemented and customized manageID for PGR, which is a large Scale Government ID effort that involves both Federal and State agencies. The PGR Project supports law enforcement business processes related to establishing root identity and confirming and propagating that identity throughout the judicial process.

Weapons Permit for State of Georgia – for Police and Sheriff’s Press (PASP): (since 2011) manageID’s Georgia Weapons Carry License program provides a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model that allows U.S. citizens in the State of Georgia to register for and obtain a valid weapons carry permit. This license is good for three years and is issued in the latest polycarbonate form containing selected overt and covert security features. The program is controlled and administrated through the State of Georgia Probate Judge system in all 159 counties. Leveraging a web-services implementation means that no additional hardware components are needed to enhance the current court’s hardware systems or IT infrastructure. The system also ensures that all adjudication and data management functions are completely controlled by the respective counties.
