Enterprise-level Mission Area Support Lead. Under general direction, performs high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex applications that require a thorough knowledge of administrative, and technical skills. Regular tasks include standardizing technology deployment and employment, recommending technology evolution to improve operations, aligning guidance and operations within mission areas by developing procedures, checklists and standard operating procedures to enhance and improve the AFIN performance and stability and reviewing change request implementation plans from mission areas for technical feasibility and risk to operations. Other responsibilities include developing draft Concept of Operations documents and reviewing doctrinal guidance to ensure mission areas are addressed appropriately within guidance, developing and maintaining Services Catalog for core services provided to AFIN users, documenting enterprise systems and tools in the baseline, identifying single points of failure within a mission area, and tracking project status. Acts as mission area subject matter experts (SME) in support of enterprise working groups.
Applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at advanced engineering solutions. Designs and prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs to record results.
Education & Training
Bachelor's degree in an information systems or other appropriate technical field
7 to 12 years in systems and/or network engineering
IAM III, COBIT 5 Foundation, ITIL V3 Service Mgmt, Lifecycle Service Operation, CSI
Proven ability to act as SME in at least one of the following: Infrastructure Operations, Vulnerability Management, Boundary Ops, Directory and Authentication, Monitoring Management, Storage, Virtualization, Messaging
