Description/Role : "The Database Developer is responsible for applications, programming to determine database design based on requirements; They will analyze database implementation per the design by the architect

  • Develop interfaces, data transfer mechanisms, data structures in an Agile environment;  
  • Support the database design for the system  
  • install upgrades of database system software, resolve production and application development problems;
  • Develop or maintain archived procedures, procedural codes, or queries for applications;
  • Develop data models for applications, metadata tables, views or related database structures;  
  • Monitor and report systems resource consumption trends to assure production systems meet availability requirements and hardware enhancements are scheduled appropriately;  
  • Set up and maintain repository for batch reports. good ETL experience, SSIS preferred, legacy migration projects, and reporting

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
  • Three (3) years of experience in data  design and development of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL, DB2, and Oracle on projects similar in size and scope to the CCWIS project
  • Three (3) years of experience in overseeing the database development, programming, database optimization techniques, and maintenance of enterprise level software applications
  • Must have proven ability to work in distributed systems;
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with OLAP and OLTP
  • Must have experience developing and implementing a RESTful API for a relational database;  
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Two (2) years of experience in developing and implementing software in Agile environments.

 

Prefered Skills

  • 2/3 years working with State governments
  • Experience in CiCD environment
  • Experience in Child Welfare domain (SACWIS Systems)
