Back to Team CITI

Cindy Greer, our Client Engagement Director, brings a wealth of child welfare and state government knowledge to the CITI team. The past eighteen plus years of her career have been serving in various state government agencies in Mississippi. Nine of those years were specific to child welfare work in the areas of SACWIS/CCWIS, Continuous Quality Improvement and Information Technology. Prior to her state government experience, Cindy worked with private sector companies in the electrical distribution, poultry processing/distribution and industry-leading defense contractor business using website design, web development, programmer, analyst, documentation, operations and training skills to help drive business process improvements.

Some of her contributions to the Mississippi child welfare arena include leading teams in implementing new technology (i.e. e-signatures, public facing abuse/neglect reporting mobile app, distribution of tablets and cell phones to all field staff, online agency child welfare data dashboard, and placement matching tool) to improve services for clients thus making a difference in outcomes for children and families. Other areas of experience include standing up the infrastructure for a new child welfare agency, building continuous quality improvement review/feedback processes and teams to help drive improvements statewide, developing data reporting metrics, working with other state agencies to implement data sharing, working with federal partners on funding initiatives, technical writing of federally required documents, leading teams to coordinate for Child and Family Services (CFSR) reviews, and project management of SACWIS, CCWIS efforts.

Driving organizational change management while implementing new technology to help move the needle forward for child welfare nationwide is a passion for Cindy. “Children in unfortunate situations deserve to have the best care and a safe environment. Improvements in child welfare technology and the utilization of data to inform child welfare practice decisions greatly impacts positive outcomes for these children. I am excited to be a part of the CITI team collaborating to implement innovative technologies in child welfare across the country, making a difference for social workers and the children and families they serve.”

In her spare time, Cindy’s family is her focus and keeping up with six grandchildren and their activities is a task! She enjoys serving as pianist for her church and has served in church music for 38 plus years. She is also a Mississippi State University graduate and enjoys following MSU sports (Go Dawgs!).
